Chances are the switches in your home are the same type as the ones your parents used before you: a rocker switch, a dimmer switch, maybe a rocker switch. Smart Start Noon Home offers an update to version 2.0 – the Noon Smart Lighting System – which connects and transforms existing lighting in a room into an intelligent experience with features without the need to invest in individually connected Wi-Fi bulbs.
The first thing you will notice is the OLED sliding panel, the centerpiece, and control center of Noon’s system, which they call the Room Director. The Room Director, all black, acts as a central hub, with an interface to access the system’s iconographic and programmed scenes (also accessible via the compatible application), while wirelessly controlling a number of white extension switches via Bluetooth LE, which also operate as a normal switch.
The Room Director is designed to scan and identify existing bulbs in a room and smart enough to detect what type of bulbs are used (e. g. whether they are dimmable or not); the system intelligently monitors the amount of energy used by each bulb and creates optimized lighting environments for a pleasant atmosphere based on these data. The system can be accessed by any of the switches and also via the app.
If you have ever wanted to switch to an intelligent lighting system with lighting settings available with a simple sweep and a tap, but you don’t like to replace all our otherwise thin and durable bulbs – as is the case with many LEDs – the Noon Smart Lighting System offers a pleasant combination of the familiarity of the traditional switch with the new smart features offered by Wi-Fi-connected smart bulbs and a clear application for home entertainment or water lighting, in lighting locations and the true black OLED format seems a perfect match.
